It has begun the public consultation phase to acquire observations from stakeholders on the new Code of Ethics and Conduct of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.

The main reason for a new version of the Code of Ethics and Conduct and of the PSEAH Code (“Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment”), which constitutes an integral part of it, is to insert within the original framework the changes that have been made to the Code of Conduct for Public Employees, Presidential Decree. n. 62 of 16 April 2013, by the Presidential Decree. n. 81 of 13 June 2023.

The highlights, among the most significant changes, concern:

  • the use of information technologies, information media and social media, with the aim of protecting the Administration’s assets, data and image;

  • the behavior and functions of managers, particularly with a view to ensuring the organizational well-being of the structures for which they are responsible;

  • the provision of training cycles on issues of public ethics and ethical behavior in favor of staff, underlining the importance of not harming, with one’s activity, the prestige, decorum or image of the administration to which one belongs or of the public administration in general.

Observations to the Codes must be sent to the email address anticorruzione@aics.gov.it by January 15, 2024.
