The presentation of the book “Percorsi e prospettive della Cooperazione italiana in Marocco” was held at the end of April in Rabat with great success and wide participation. In addition to civil society, there were present the main representatives of the Moroccan authorities, with whom the Italian Cooperation operates, of various international organizations and of the European Union Delegation in Morocco.
The book illustrates the work of the Italian Cooperation in Morocco, with a specific focus on the description of the bilateral intervention for the recovery and conservation of the cultural heritage supported thanks to the Debt Conversion Program and eight Italian Civil Society Organizations (AiBi, CEFA, COSPE , ISCOS Marche, OVCI La nostra famiglia, Oxfam Italia, Progettomondo and Soleterre) which have been operating for over twenty years in various regions of the country and in different sectors ranging from healthcare to education, from the protection of children’s rights to inclusion of people with disabilities, to the integration of migrants, from support to young people to enter the world of work, from the creation of social enterprises to territorial development for the valorization of Morocco’s tangible and intangible heritage.
The book, financed by AICS Tunisi, allows to delve deeper into the aforementioned themes by proposing an exchange of experiences and know-how, sharing information on cooperation projects and highlighting the work of many professionals in the sector who, with their skills and their sensitivity, contribute to improving the conditions of the population of Morocco.
