Minister Tajani chairs the Joint Development Cooperation Committee and the Plenary of the National Council for Development Cooperation

In line with the Mattei Plan, Africa is again the main beneficiary, with initiatives in Senegal, Tunisia, Burkina Faso, Guinea e Mozambico, Eritrea, Mali, Ghana, Malawi. Finally, an update on the evaluation of proposals submitted for the 2023 Call for Proposals relating to contributions to initiatives promoted by Local Authorities and Civil Society Organisations was presented, which showed a very positive response in terms of participation.

Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Edmondo Cirielli, chaired the sixth meeting of the Joint Committee for Development Cooperation in 2024, which approved a significant package of interventions totaling €531 million.
