The Italian Embassy in Mogadishu, the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) have launched an initiative to improve the management of water and land resources in Somalia, valued at 2 million euros.

Three new designers, winners of the Circular Fashion contest held by AICS Havana in March, will present the new trends in Cuban fashion. This is a virtuous example of how Italian Cooperation in Cuba, through the promotion of creativity and innovation, in harmony with the country's local development policies, manages to open pathways and opportunities for growth for talented young people.

Inauguration of Tanzania’s ‘Emergency Operation and Communication Center’ Situation Room – a step to advancing ‘Early Warnings for All’
The event marked a milestone in the country's journey towards building disaster resilience and was welcomed by supporters of the EOCC Situation Room, including the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), which over two years provided technical support for its establishment, in partnership with the CIMA Foundation and with generous funding from the Government of Italy, through the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
Strengthening Early Warning and Early Action Systems in Kenya
Funded by Italian Cooperation with an investment of 1.5 million Euros and implemented by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), the initiative aims to improve Kenya's resilience against natural disasters. Since 2020, with the support of UNDRR and the African Union, several regional initiatives have been implemented. Among other achievements, these initiatives have enabled the operationalization of the African Multi-Hazard Early Warning and Action System, the first continental-scale warning system for catastrophic phenomena.
Arboviral and zoonotic diseases in Libya: initiative funded by AICS
WHO and ISS will pool their respective expertise, know-how, experience and operational tools. The local partners of the project will be the Libyan National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) of the Ministry of Health, the National Center for Animal Health (NCAH) which is the country's national veterinary authority, under the Ministry of Agriculture, of animals and marine resources and the Ministry of the Environment
