Excellent feedback for the Info Day organized by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation – AICS dedicated to Bando 2023 in Florence. Around five hundred participants joined the event, in person and remotely, to underline the importance of this tool.
The meeting has been opened by the speech of Marco Riccardo Rusconi, AICS Director, who wanted to underline the framework in which Bando 2023 fits in: “We can talk about a first child of the Mattei Plan: this new initiative, developed thanks to the commitment of our work team, aims to support a cooperation that stands out for its quality , viability and ability to leverage partnerships.”
The presentation saw the contribution of VDT Leonardo Carmenati, who wanted to underline the path taken by the Agency on the construction of the tender: “This tool is a huge investment that was born in the wake of previous experiences. We are capitalizing on the heritage built together with CSOs and Territorial Bodies and we want to make it virtuous also thanks to the contribution and responsibility of these subjects. For this reason we can proudly underline how the financial allocation has increased compared to the previous edition, aiming for a lower concentration of initiatives and resources.“
The last intervention by Grazia Sgarra, director of Office VII – Subjects of cooperation, partnerships and finance for development, after thanking her team for the work offered in these months of planning, concretely presented Bando 2023 and the its essence: “The initiatives must guarantee efficiency, effectiveness and impact of the action. The approach we require must be based on results, clearly defined and objectively verifiable, to ensure full economic, social and environmental sustainability. This tender is a unique opportunity and we expect quality planning.”
