The Mattei Plan identifies Côte d’Ivoire as one of nine pilot countries where a virtuous model of collaboration can be fostered, both between public and private sectors at a national level and with local authorities and stakeholders. Among the Italian Cooperation’s priority areas in this West African nation are Education and Child Protection.

With a total budget of 30 million euros, the Call for Proposals has been published for awarding grants to initiatives promoted by CSOs registered in the Official List, focusing on Education and Child Protection in Côte d’Ivoire.

For the first component, the Call aims to support the education system by addressing key issues that affect the skill acquisition of students, teachers, and officials from the Ministry of National Education and Literacy (MENA), as well as encouraging community involvement in the education of children and youth. In the second component, special consideration will be given to proposals that support local authorities in managing civil registration services, an essential tool for promoting social rights and enabling public authorities to manage the population—especially children—in health, education, economic, social, and security matters.

The full details of the call are available on the dedicated page of the Transparency Administration Portal.
