The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has published a call to invite potentially interested actors to submit pre-qualification demonstrations for the construction of the “Ars Aevi” Museum of Contemporary Art in Sarajevo.
The “Ars Aevi” Museum project was conceived during the siege of the city to house the works of art from the collection of the same name, the result of the generosity of numerous international artists, among whom the Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto played a leading role. Italy has always held a vanguard position in promoting this initiative and, in recent years, in relaunching it when the project seemed compromised: as evidence we can cite the commitment of the architect Renzo Piano, who donated the model of the Museum free of charge, as well as the financing ensured by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) for the executive project for the construction, presented in 2023.
Please refer to the text of the announcement for more details on the eligibility requirements for participating entities. The deadline for expressions of interest is set for 22 April.
