Africa a Priority for Italy: Regional Meeting of Ambassadors and Italian Development Cooperation Directors in Southern Africa Held in Cape Town
The first session focused on the prospects of Italian action in Southern Africa, aiming to launch major development projects with an "equal partnership" approach, while the second session centered on the contribution of the new Italian Cooperation strategy in Africa to the success of the Mattei Plan.

AICS Kiev delivers medical equipment to Municipal Hospital No. 4 in Dnipro as part of a 14 million euro project
On June 28, the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation in Kiev delivered two important pieces of medical equipment to Hospital No. 4 in Dnipro. This donation, part of the 14 million euro Emergency Call, is part of a project aimed at distributing advanced medical equipment to three Ukrainian hospitals, including two in the city of Lviv.
Somalia: Italy and FAO Launch Initiative to Improve Water and Land Resource Management

G7 Apulia Progress Report 2024: Advancing Sustainable Development in Africa
For 2024, the Italian Presidency selected Africa as the focus for the Report, recognising the continent’s significant potential for sustainable development and its crucial role as a partner in advancing progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Agenda 2063, and the Paris Agreement. The Presidency also introduced a gender equality lens as a key feature of the report, demonstrating a commitment to fostering a gender-transformative development approach.
AICS Commitment to the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict
Italian Cooperation has continued to support organizations committed to the inclusion of women in peace processes and the fight against sexual violence in conflicts. Additionally, in 2023, Italy was a member of the central Board of the Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), participating in decisions on financial allocations.
