Today, the Italian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Edmondo Cirielli, took part in the Annual Meeting of the Directors of the Foreign Offices of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), as part of the “AICS Directors’ Days”.
In addressing the Panel “Italian Development Cooperation and the Mattei Plan”, Cirielli thanked the Directors for their valuable contribution, emphasising the continuity of the Annual Meeting with the States General of Diplomacy and the 17th Conference of Italian Ambassadors, which ended yesterday. He then recalled that Cooperation is a fundamental pillar in the implementation of the Mattei Plan, with a strategic function as a generator of stability and enhancement of the Italian System, against an international background marked by growing tensions.
In drawing to a close, Cirielli invited the AICS Directors to continue their work as technical-operational experts at the service of the Italian Cooperation System, developing increasingly intense synergies with Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the diplomatic-consular network.
